Some highlights of the trip were (in no particular order) -- Went to 2 cities north of Bangkok -- Chiangmai and Korat Went to a karaoke bar in Thailand (Chiangmai) for the first time Spent time with my friend in Korat and his girlfriend Played snooker for the first time Bought 100% Thai silk shirts It's always a highlight to spend time in Pattaya! Went to a local Thai comedy club Learned the real, 21-word name of Bangkok Met a very good woman -- Pung National/International Crisis Strangely, whenever I travel to a country in either Asia or the South Pacific, a national or international crisis occurs. During this trip, the crisis was national -- Muslim Thai citizens were protesting in southern Thailand and 70 of them were "murdered" by the Thai police. The fun never ends! As I have mentioned on other pages that I have created on my Web site, I discovered that my friends and family who use AOL's software are not able to access the pages if they contain pictures.
